The Royal Palms

(23 Ratings)
As good as it gets
The Royal Palms previously occupied a different location but moved into this new building in 2011, with 2 pools, a small restaurant, bar, and spa. The rooms are all-white minimalist chic, with amenities found in major hotels, and the service is quite good. The pool is usually crowded with a mix of guests as well as locals.

Not gay at all anymore, safe for the lost ones that wonder in and get very confused.

Dr. Eve

Looks like Dr. Eve dehomsexualized this place. If you are looking for gay resort this is not it.

make a u-turn!

I used to live a block away and loved the fact that the RP was a really nice gay mens resort and I would drop by to have drinks and lunch with friends every now and then, and enjoyed the drag shows and all the events on the weekends, especially the tea dance on sundays, but no more, now its a family friendly resort, and it does cater to exclusively to gay men, now its anybody and everybody! what a bummer! well it was good while it lasted, same goes to the rest of the gay oriented spots in the area, soon it will all be "family friendly" that is all fine if thats what your looking for! am a gay man and I love to have fun around my gay friends, when I want to be in a family friendly place I'll go visit my own family in N.Y. Thank you... Good Bye RP you really suck now!

Not a men's resort and barely gay

It appears to have changed owners or management. Sadly, I was not informed when booking my annual visit. Now I am stuck here for six days! HELP! There are more women than men staying here, which makes it uncomfortable and quite LOUD. The remainder are older hetero couples and even some TEENAGERS! I won't be back.
